The cupsd.conf file on my OS X (Jaguar) machine got accidently deleted. I can now no longer add printers in Print Center; I just get an error 1282.

I tried replacing the file with one from my other Mac, but it didn't work. Print Center Repair gave me no joy either.

What's the easiest way to fix this? Is it possible to reinstall CUPS or Print Center? Or is it gonna have to be an update or reinstall Jaguar?

Thanks in advance,

Jonny05

Thanks man, but there doesn't seem to be much useful info for me there. AFAIK they only support cups itself, and don't deal with the error codes that Jaguar returns. Maybe I'll just have to try an OS update. Failing that, reinstall :-/

Thanks,
