Sorry about that. I just unchecked that feature, buit it is still doing it. What is happening is everytime I get an email on aol the aol icon keeps bouncing up and down till I check it. Is there some other feature I might have to change?

Check in the AOL prefs for an option to disable notification bounces. This feature is controlled on an app by app basis. There isn't a global system preference for it.
