Hi everyone!
I was wondering if anyone knows how I can use OSX's "Connect to Server" feature to connect to my web pages/file locker on Comcast.
I can do it just fine, as long as I use an ftp program like Fetch or Dreamweaver's built-in ftp feature, but I want to be able to access it via the desktop.
When I use ftp://mywebpages.comcast.net and log in using my account and password it mounts just fine, but any time I try and drag anything to it it says "The disk mywebpages.comcast.net cannot be modified."
Any ideas?
- Corey

The connect to server via ftp in the finder doesn't allow uploads.

It's a bug/feature of the ftp implementation of the finder. Not sure when it'll be fixed....

Interesting... I can upload to my iDisk in the Finder fine and that's WebDAV, which is a heck of a lot newer (and probably more of a complicated technology). It seems like something so trivial such as FTP uploads should be functional at least by now.
Bummer.
