Hey all,

One of my clients is using OS X client (10.2.5) as a server via file sharing. All their client machines are OS 9, however. Odd symptom: suddenly, all of their clients are unable to see the contents of the "server". They log into the share point (I configured it via the 3rd-party Sharepoints app) and there are no files in there. Only restarting the server fixes this--and only temporarily, for a few hours.

This happened months ago and I "fixed" it by repairing permissions, upgrading to the latest version of X, etc. Haven't done that yet this time around. Any thoughts on a more permanent fix?

Thanks,
Noam

This may be a faulty peice of hardware. Check all the cables and switches. Oh yeah, check that sharepoints isn't timing out after a certain amount of inactivity.
