Does Panther 'Mail' work with Jaguar?

Can anyone confirm that the new Panther "mail" works under Jaguar. I really like the new threaded listings and the better performance.....

Well, being in beta form, Panther mail doesn't work with Panther in some cases. Why would you want a beta app with bugs as your main email app in Jag?

Surely some of the improved performance of mail.app will be due to general optimizations within Panther anyway? So won't it be better just to wait till September???
