Stuffit should have worked. What version do you have?

BTW...are you sure it is really a bin file? It might be named that way but it might not be one.

.bin files can be macBinary files or S/VCD data files. try dragging the .bin file to Toast when it is in "Disk Image" mode and see what happens. If it lists it as ISO 9660 or UDF then mount it.

I've tried that as well. Didn't work.

I have a Netgear firmware update that I'm trying to install. Any other suggestions? I'm going to try contacting the company now.

if you downloaded it from thier site then it is supposed to be a .bin image, just goto your router settings then the upgrade tab and select the .bin file.

all the instructions should be at thier site...

BTW, I would only upgrade the router if your having problems that the upgrade fixes, Ive had problems with these routers before...

Thanks, I'll try that.

I'm upgrading the MR814 so I can stop broadcasting my SSID. That wasn't available when I bought it.

The first release or two of Stuffit Expander 7 fails to work with .bin or .hqx files (at least on any of my Mac OS X systems). I had to keep an old copy of Stuffit Expander 6 around for those files. The latest release of Stuffit 7 appears to work now, so it might be worth making sure you've got the latest version.

Thanks. it worked that way.

It doesn't say to use the .bin file though.

When i see a bin, or hgx, or a sit I, out of habit, try to decompress it.
