Not sure where to post this.....

I'm having trouble with any apps (esp Quark and P. Shop) in Classic not being able to read/write to a W2k server. The files end up appearing as generic "PC" text files to the other OS9 machines on the network. The OSX/Classic can read/write the files it creates, but not the OS9 machines. The OSX/Classic machine can't read a file created by an OS9 machine. Not having any trouble with the actual connecting to the server, it see's the server fine.

Help is appreciated....

The W2k server is running "Services for Macintosh"? And the Mac OS X machines connect to it using AFP, too? Or do they use native Windows SMB file sharing and only the Mac OS 9 machines use AFP?

Don't know about the "Services for Macintosh". I will find out and get back as soon as I know (I don't have access to the server). Could this be the cause?

The OSX machine is connecting using SMB.
