So I'm using my PowerBook today and I go to open System Preferences and nothing happens. Normally I click the Apple menu and launch it from there, but no go now. But if I launch it from the Applications folder like you would any other app it works fine. Any ideas on what's going on here?
Edit: I forgot to mention that I have both restarted and shut down the computer without any affect.

I am running Panther on another partition. My friends who do have Panther have also noticed this. That's pretty odd.

its not odd at all...
the OS is programmed to always open the
latest version of a system installed app
and becoz Panther is connected to the Jag
it will open the latest versions
just click the syspref dock icon in Jag
for textedit and so, set TextEdit (Jag) as
preffered app, etc (Get Info)

you can open the Panther System Prefs app in Jaguar. I've done it...
But neither will launch from the Apple Menu for me. Unless I'm in Panther.
