freemacfonts.com - fonts not working

i've downloaded and installed a couple of fonts from www.freemacfonts.com and they don't seem to be showing up in the fonts list in any of my programs. (photoshop, bbdedit, etc). i did restart the programs and even restarted the computer, but they're still not there.
i took a look at the "installation" page of the site, and it gives you a tutorial on how to use the fonts with os 9. are os 9 fonts not compatible with os x? is there any way to get them to work?

They work fine for me here on Mac OS X 10.2.6.
Where have you installed the fonts?

Please, never touch (add or remove) anything in /System.
That saying, the font should work if you put them there. The correct place would have been /Library/Fonts or ~/Library/Fonts (for you only).

oops! guess that's what happens after 5 years of using windows. 
just put it in the /library/fonts/ and it's working.
