My situation is this: setting up faculty machines at a university with a certain printer, but faculty members, when going to print, are presented with several different printers on the network as detected by rendezvous. They get confused, and all the sudden their print jobs aren't going to their printer, but to a random printer in the fith floor three buildings away.

Anybody know of a way to selectively disable Mac OS X's ability to detect printers via rendezvous? I've figured out how to disable rendezvous entirely by simply unchecking it in Directory Access, but this stinks because I lose *all* rendezvous functionality when really I just don't want a bunch of people being able to confuse themselves with a plethory of network printers in computer labs and such.

Anyone come across this problem yet?
Thanks

Okay guys, I figured it out. In the event that someone else ever wants to know, in /System/Library/Printers/IOMs/ and /System/Library/Printers/PBMs/ there are rendevous plugins. All I did was enable root, login as root, and move those files out to the root's desktop. Print Center no longer acknowledges rendezvous for the adding of printers.
