Is it possible to use the non-beta version of Apple's Mail.app with the DP-1 Panther release? I've been toying around with Panther and some of its new features, but Mail.app still isn't very useable on a daily basis. For some reason, it hangs after downloading 3-4 messages from a POP3 server. I know I should just re-install Jaguar for daily use, but wanted to see if I could somehow get Mail.app 1.0 to use with Panther instead.

It's more stable than that, for me.
But no, if you want to use Panther, use Panther's mail. Or just use Jaguar for production use.
And, I'd suggest, if you're using Panther and Panther mail maybe you should use IMAP and just store everything on the server so you can access it from either OS?
