I tried to mount a disk image today and I found that I no longer have Disk Copy on my computer. I think I may have accidentally deleted it when throwing out a bunch of other files yesterday. Are there any othe app's that can do the same thing as Disk Copy? I tried to dload it again on Apple's site with no luck. Could someone maybe email me the file? I don' tknow what to do.
Thanks.

Go to versiontracker.com and download Pacifist. It'll extract Disk Copy from your OS X install disk.

and once you've done that, run the OS X 10.2.6 Combo updater to get the updates to Disk Copy since 10.2 came out.

Will the installer let you install 10.2.6 over
10.2.6? I am not sure about that.

If that doesn't work you should try using
pacifist to get the updated version of disk
copy from the installer.

I've never tried it, but many on these forums have claimed to do so.

I hope Pacifist doesn't come as a Disk Image!

I am using 10.1.5 on my computer so I downloaded an older version of Pacifist. Unfortunately it does come as a disk image So I guess I'll just try and live without it until Panther comes out.

PM me your email address or email me and I will send it to you Stuffed, but not imaged. I couldn't imagine not being able to work with Disc Images for 6 months!

You can still mount disk images without Disk Copy. Read the man page for hdid in Terminal.

Tres simple! Type 'hdid' then a space, drag and drop the unmounted .img file to your terminal window, and hit return.

Faster than Disk Copy, too.
