Hello,

I was wondering how (if it is possible) do I make Internet Sharing start up as soon as the system boots, instead of having to open of sys prefs and do it from there every time.

I have clicked the lock on the bottom right that says "Click the lock to prevent further changes" but after a restart/shutdown its turned off again.

Running OS 10.2 on iBook 500mhz

This hint used to work for me.

Note that there is a typo at the beginning of the hint. Instead of:

sudo pic /etc/hostconfig

it should read:

sudo pico /etc/hostconfig

Like I said, this hint used to work well for me. Read all the comments for the latest stuff to look out for and whatnot.

You could use BrickHouse's implementation of Internet Sharing. You can find it on versiontracker.com.
It'll also bring you a nice front-end for the built-in firewall, way better than the default pref panel.
