Hi all...

I'm experiencing major OS and program slowdowns. I ran top in the terminal to see if any processes were taking a lot of CPU power:

692 Nikon Scan 48.0% 3:35:55
181 Window Man 73.6% 2:46:33

Those two processes were the highest ones. Nikon Scan usually stays at that level and considering the load on that program I'm not very surprised. What I am wondering about is the Window Manager, is it normal for it to constantly take up 73.6% while all I'm doing is using Safari?

I have Mail, Safari, Nikon Scan and Photoshop open at this time. Computer has been up for just over 1 day.

System is: PowerMac G4 dual 1 ghz MDD, 1.5 GB RAM, lots of HD space, OS X 10.2.6.

Thanx for any help.

If you want to be shure there's something wrong, close you session and open it again, than launch all you had openned. If you get the same syndromes, you know there's something fishy in those programs. Else.. Window Manager is at fault.
