I'd very much like to have the Midnight Commander I had in Linux. I know it's been ported to X but with GTK. Any stand alone terminal version independent of both? If not, any equivalent? Thanks.

Fink installs the terminal version of midnight commander. Don't know why you'd want it. (Seems like an unholy mixing of terminal and a GUI but hey, what ever drops your socks)

Sometimes you just need a GUI for file work and the best one I've seen is MC. But I don't want to install Fink, so... back square on. Thanks anyway.
