I installed BasiliskII, and then realized I needed a valid Mac Rom to run it. Do I need a Rom from a 68k or can I use an old world ppc rom?

PS - I have no reason to run Basilisk, this is just for kicks

Thanks

You need a 68k rom, basilisk doesn't emulate a PPC.

Its pretty cool to see it running though. In a G4 machine you can run everything mac os up to the very latest now.
In basilisk run OS 0.97 through 8.1
You miss os 8.5, then run 9.22 in classic under OSX which is also running.

Its like you can have your cake and eat it too! Its great for running those older games you may have around that you loved to play on your LC or mac classic.

Have fun. While its not legal to get a ROM online, you can find them. If you have a 68k mac around there are utilities to extract it and then should be at least legally 'ok'.

Good luck!
