Where does outlook express 5 keep my e-mail (what folder on the hard
drive)
I want to move my old e-mail to a new drive w/ os x10.2 and oe5.
But I cant find the folder where oe keeps them.

Try Microsoft User Data in the Documents folder.

In Windows NT-based systems the default mail storage folder is:

CDocuments and Settings\Administrator(or other username)\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\**********\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Or you can search for .dbx files. The archived messages are stored as .dbx files.

Your Windows Address Book is stored as a .wab file. You'll want to get that one, too.

Be sure you get the email and address books for all users.

even better, simply ignore this post. For some stupid reason I thought you were moving your Outlook messages from a Windows PC to a Mac.

The Outlook Express readMe file will tell you in OS 9 it's in the /Documents/Microsoft User Data/Identities folder.

When OE5 is run in OS X 10.2 Classic mode, it's in /users/yourname/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Identities. See this Apple KBase article
