After using Classic, iTunes doesn't work

I haven't used Classic for ages, but a few days ago, decided to revisit some older games.

After playing -- and whether or not I stop Classic -- the play button in iTunes (latest version) no longer works. The button changes to the 'pause' icon as it should, but nothing else happens.

To get iTunes working again, I have to do a full restart; logging out and back in doesn't solve the problem.

Anyone know what's going on? Anything I can do about it?
