Computer: 375 mz Beige G3.
Video Card: 128 rage 32mz
System: OS X 10.2.3

Okay, everything has been fine for 9 months, then suddenly when dragging an icon, it will shoot left and right of the cursor. Also , its shadow when dragging would disappear - then reappear! Finally, if a desktop window is dragged anywhere it snaps back to the left or right of the monitor. The drive has been completely reformatted followed by a reinstallation of OSX, then the problem reoccured. Any inqueries?

Are you saying this problem continues even after a complete reformat and reinstall of the system?

If so you've got a hardware problem.

Hardware meaning video card or hard drive?

Possibly either, although I'd probably guess video card from what you've described.

Wait for some more replies...see if anyones heard of anything like this - I sure haven't.

a 375mhz G3?? hmmmm seems someone has overclocked......

have you hooked up the monitor to the old video card instead of the new one you got, and seen if the problem still exists? that would rule out the video card

Have you installed a new Hard drive in it recently? Some G3 towers are picky about what brand of HDs they use because of a crappy IDE controller.

I was getting weird behavior and had to get a separate IDE controller and everything was fine.
