Just wondering if anybody has tried to get Panther's Exposé feature to work in 10.2.6 yet...

Is it even possible?

Impossible (or atleast highly unlikely) that Exposé could be brought into 10.2.6 without rewriting and re-compiling the code.

Upgrade to Panther if you want one of Panthers features...

Actually, I spoke to Slava at Unsanity because I was curious about this as well, and they said that they were pretty sure it was possible. They didn't see the point in implementing hacks just for old operating systems though, and I have to agree.

But apparently it is possible.

I'd have to agree that its pointless.

Maybe it just me, but I haven't found Expose that useful, its nice though...maybe its just old habits die hard

Perhaps coup de grace. That'll be the Office replacement.

Ahem...

That's Exposé, not Expose. Two completely different pronunciations and meanings there.

Did you type that on a PC or something?

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Old-school Mac folk just remember that option-letter-letter often does the trick, and new Mac folk know that OSX shows you a neat-o highlighted accent when you press one that can go on top of a vowel.

Option-e-e yields: é
Option-u-u yields: ü
Option-i-i yields: î

The only weird one is `, which is Option-`-letter. So Option-`-e yields è. (accent grave if my decade-old french isn't too rusty).

Rendezvous

Apple's Office Suite will be called 'coup d'état' for obvious reasons.

The APIs for applying affine transforms to windows are there in 10.2 (and 10.1 and 10.0), but they're a bit sucky and unoptimized and private. You could probably hack up something vaguely similar, but you can't really "port" it as it's built into the windowserver in 10.3.

Prepare for a company renaming in 2005. The company will then have the name "pomme" and the fearless leader Stephane Jobs will present the new Mac de force G sept.

Stink different.

Just as an aside: the Panther
Calculator can be run under Jaguar. I replaced my Jaguar one with it. It doesn't suffer the keypress delay of the Jaguar calc.
