i installed ambrosia software's wiretap, then deleted it, didn't need it.

now, when i startup (not that often!), i get a security warning, about this file:

AmbrosiaAudioSupport.kext

which i can't seem to delete (even after changing permissions)

how can i get rid of this file?

thanx!

It may be that it's loaded. In that case, you'll need to do a "sudo kextunload <filename>" from the terminal, then you should be able to delete it.

Stink different.

Open up terminal

Type in:
sudo rm -rf
put a space after the f
drag the kext onto the terminal window
press enter
enter your password
press enter
<file gone>

Now, all I need are the posters who will complain that this command is "dangerous" to post.

That command will track down your grandmother and beat her with a fish. Whatever you do, don't use it!

Yeah but he didn't mention the killing travels back a decade in the continuum.

As far as a I can tell sudo rm -rf will remove anything.

I even used it to remove my annoying neighbors, but it was a bit hard to drag them into the terminal window.

Ah, but you don't need to - you can just type their address manually!
