Just made a new user and I am constantly entering my keychain password. How do I make my computer less secure, but more convenient?

Open keychain access and select your passwords one by one, switch to Access Control, check Allow all applications to access this item. Then click save changes, type in your password and confirm with Allow Once.

It's a pain in the ass if you have a gazillion passwords though...

Oh, and make sure your Keychain settings are not set to lock after a set time...

This could be a problem with your Keychain. You might wish to run Keychain First Aid. It gets rid of permissions problems which can mean that you are frequently required to enter your password. Worked for me:

If your Keychain password is the same as your login password (that's the default ffor a new user account) it will open at login.

Open Keychain Access (Utilities folder.) Select your keychain, then pick "settings" from the Edit menu. Make sure "Lock after __ minutes of inactivity" is unchecked or increase the time interval to something you like.

my keychain password is different, that may be why its being weird.

also, someone mentioned i should click "allow once", why not "always allow"?.

On my other account, the one working correctly. I have clicked "always allow", but a few days later (usually after a restart) I find my self clicking it again. Is always allow only good during the one login session?

Always allow will stick until you update the app or system component for that password. If you never update anything, it will last forever.

Many times this has to do with a software update. For instance if you had to restart because of a security update, you will almost always have to click "always allow" the first time you run a program (like mail or iChat).

Or, you could link to the actual page itself instead of CrappyTracker.
