I have this infuriating problem that showed up a few hours ago.
I can't type any address!!!
If i start typing www. it always hangs on the first w letter and if I type a different letter it always hangs on the 3rd. I just can't type anything!! If I use my bookmarks there's no problem, only if I type an address.
Reinstalled safari and still nothing. Please help cause it's driving me crazy

Problem solved. There was a problem with the history.plist . It seems that it got corrupted. This is very worrying cause things seem to get corrupted for no reason...

I had a strange problem when I could not alter (rename) any bookmark, spinning balls would spin forever.. turned out that icons folder contents were corrupted or exceeded some limit. Had to throw out contents of icon folder. Go figure. Safari and OS X in general has really strange bugs.
