Sorry, I have to say this. Its Mac, not MAC. MAC is a networking term - Your Mac has a MAC address. It wouldn't matter otherwise really, but well...there you go. Its just wrong.
Also: National Geographic Maps will offer their TOPO! State Series topographic sofware (GPS compatible) in a Mac OS X compatible version, starting in October. Don't have anything on the website yet, but will start taking phone pre-orders next week.
Only street mapping software I have found for the Mac but it does not seem to have voice prompts which I consider a must for safety while driving.
For the PC we tried out Hertz Nav Lost by Magellan. It was great but Magellan's price for an equivalent unit for our car is way too steep (would love a reasonably priced PDA Nav Lost version by Magellan i.e. under USA $499.00). We have Delorme's Streetwise for the PC but it no longer supports Macs.
Will bug companies about this at MacWorld 2004 in January. Others should too.
