suddenly I have the problem that if I click on system preferences in the apple menu that nothing happens. I can strat the system preferences dialog from the dock but not from the apple menu, The same applies to every menu item in the Apple menu that tries to show the system preferences dialog. Has anyone an idea how to fix this ?

Bye

Delete Panther? Seriously though, if you have a newer system on another partition/disk, it will try to open the newer app from within the system, causing nothing to happen.

Thanks for the info, but I hope that there is a better solution than deleting Panther. What I would prefere is to start Jaguar without mounting the Panther partition. Does anyone know if this is possible ? This would solve another problem from wich I'm 'suffering' quite a while. Starting Jaguar from an external harddrive without mounting the internal harddrive.

Regards
Roger
