Well, for the second time during my Mac experience, Mac OS 9 has frozen up during a Startup Disk Restart. The first time I did this and I did a manual restart with the power button on my eMac, it couldn't find the finder and I had to do an OS X re-install.
This wouldn't have been so bad, but I almost lost my then $30 iTunes collection. Apple was very generous and allowed me to re-download all of them in a "One-time exception." I do not want to lose all the music I have bought.
How do I restart it without running this risk?
