I have downloaded an ISO bootable CD image file of the web. It says that the image is Mac bootable. So I used Dik Copy to try to burn the image, but it errored out at the end of the burn.

How do you burn ISO disk images on a Mac and make them bootable?

Thanks,

t

It sounds like the image is corrupt I had the same problem with one of the Panther CD disks...mount the image then go into Disk copy go to

File>New>Image from Folder or Volume

locate the mounted volume and it will copy its contents perfectly. Click the burn icon a window will appear, now locate the newly created dmg and burn.

If it's name is image.cdr.dmg or image.dmg.cdr you have to take the .dmg extension from filename or it will give you errors while burning. If the disk image checksums when mounting it should burn properly. BTW ALWAYS LOCK AN IMAGE BEFORE MOUNTING IT OR YOU MIGHT DESTROY THE CONTENTS OF THE DISK!!!!!
