I have a music CD-R (it plays in regular CD players) that won't show up in OS X. Finder says that it doesn't contain any volume that OS X can read.
In OS 9 it shows up on the desktop but it looks empty and it says it is an "Apple Packet Media" CD.
Is there any way to read this CD in OS X (or 9)?

I've tried it on a pc but it won't be read there either (the CD-ROM is pretty crappy, though).

If ordinary CD players can play it, then Mac OS ought to be able to read it too. This sounds strange. Are you sure it has music on it?
