I imaged the grey OS9.2.2 boot disk that came with the quicksilvers in hopes of adding norton 7 onto it because I lost the norton disk ... the problem is when I mount the imaged OS9 boot disk i cant modify it because it is read only ... any ideas how I can image the disk and add norton to it? I tried chmod and chown through terminal but no luck.

thanks
J

Disk Copy should be able to convert the image to read/write, and you should be able to do this, if you're really brave enough to run Norton on an HFS+ disk.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

yeah your right ... I just had to set the imaging to read/write instead of compressed.

Thanks
