is this possible? I don't see a preference for it.

It would be nice. Also nice if it would mount when opening an aliased file on the idisk without asking me for my account and password.

I use the following applescript:

tell application "Finder"
mount volume "http://idisk.mac.com/username/" as user name "username" with password "password"
end tell

That is cool, thanks.

But don't you think it should be an option?

The other minor problem with using a script like that is then you've got an unencrypted copy of your password on your hard drive.

Everything should be an option but you can't have everything. I'm sure you'll appericiate the new iDisk changes in Panther so just wait until then if you'd rather not use that script.

Alternatively read the article here:
