I have downloaded Fink for OS X.2. I need to learn how to get Gnome and KDE apps working on my iBook (need some of their apps for classes) but I don't know how to go about compiling (if thats the word) these programs and get them working. Is there any websites and/or books that anybody could recommend so I could learn about using UNIX applications on my iBook.
I know only very little about UNIX - very little, so I need material that spells it out like "Fink for Morons" if it existed
I'd appreciate any help at all!!!
