First, I have an eMac that has a brown screen. Everyting that was blue is now brown and everything that was white is now black. If I change users the screen is fine. But, as soon as I go back to the original user I get the bad screen. How do I fix this?

Second, everytime I click on Internet Explorer it says it has unexpectedly quit. I have restarted the computer and it still gives the same message. Safari works fine but Explorer will not work at all. Thanks

1. Hit command-option-control-8

2. Just use Safari.

Failing that... delete the Internet Explorer preferences.

Thanks, the command, option, control, 8 worked. But, I am still having trouble with Internet Explorer. Anymore suggestions?

What exactly does command, option, control, 8 do? I know it fixed my problem but why?

You accidentally had the settings on for people with impaired sight - some people prefer less high-contrast screens. You can find more about this in the Universal Access Preference Pane.

Did you trash the com.microsoft.internetexplorer.plist preferences in ~/Library/Preferences/

?
