Is there anyway to manually re-arrange music in itunes. I have my list sorted by artist's name but i want to put certain songs in a different order without putting them in a playlist. any help would be great

You could put track numbers in the order you want. Like for a certain artist, just rearrange the track numbers to the order you want the tracks in.

I've tried that. Basically i just imported a cd and it didnt import them in order for some reason. Also the last three tracks were placed into a different folder of the exact same name. Very bizzare but i dont know what to do about it. All the track numbers say the right thing they just dont show up where they should.

If you create a separate playlist you can sort it however you want. You need to select the bar all the way to the left. Left of the 'Song Name' section bar. You can then drag it anyway you want.

As for the music library, this happens to me when I have duets and collaborations. I usually change the artist name to the primary artist only and add the other artists in the notes or on the title.
