login items missing from System Preferences

I went to add something to my login items today, and the login items control is no longer in my System Preferences! I've also got a duplicate Accounts control in the Other section.

I haven't added or removed anything that should have caused this, that I know of. Has anyone seem similar? Double-clicking the LoginItems preference pane folder in /System/Library/Preference Panes brought up System Preferences, but didn't lode the pane.

Anyone have any ideas what might be wrong or what I should do?

It's 10.2.6 on a dual-867 MDD

Corrupt file, nothing more serious.
Delete the following file and you should be all right:

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.preferencepanes.cache

Had similar problems too. Repairing permissions took care of it.
