I thought OS X wasn't supposed to do this sorta thing. But occationally I'll wake my iBook from sleep and it'll just sit there, the screen turns on then you can't use the mouse, and the CPU monitor just stays at full. And I leave it for like a minute and nothing happens. So I just force restarted... but since I got it like a month or so ago, it's done this like 5 times, granted it's still better than your average PC but it's kinda frustrating.

I'm running x.2 anyone know if this is a hardware or software problem?

Reinstall X. If you still have the problem, call Apple because it is most likely hardware.
