I'm looking to graph CPU, diskspace, RAM, and Bandwidth via MRTG.

Has anyone done so successfully via MRTG?

Now here's a far fetched one

Lastly, anyone know how to graph syslog data received by a Mac from a Netgear router?

I'm so interested in MRTG, but can't find any relevent documentation on OS X other than installation.
I always use protection when fscking my Mac... Do you?

I've used mrtg a few times to graph network usage, it's pretty darn easy to configure... but it relies on SNMP, which can be quite the project. Unfortunately I'm not very good at getting snmp configured correctly. I will tell you this, however, you need to use the 4.2.5 version rather than the 5.x branch, mrtg doesn't play well with 5.x.

I hope that helps.
