Recently, whenever the dialog box comes up where you type in your password, for system updates and whatnot, all the letters are bunched up so you can't read them.
I'm not sure I can explain it any better than that.

You *could* explain it better with a screenshot. However, I think I can picture what's going on and I don't have any advice. Sorry.
i know exactly what you mean. i had that happen once as well. my machine was generally pissing about at the time anyway, so i did a re-install. so that's two cases so far...
