Installed 10.2.8 on PowerMac 9600 (Sonnet G3/450 upgraded) with an Intel chipset PCI 10/100Base-TX NIC via software update. No problems with networking.

Installed 10.2.8 on a PowerMac G4/400 (upgraded to G4/1.4GHz) via the download installer. Also no problems with networking.

Both are connected to a 10/100 autosensing switch.

By the way, I had to use the download installer on the G4 because it appears that Apple has pulled the update from the Software Update servers. The fact that the update is still available as a download from the Support page tells me that they may have isolated the problem to the SU version only.

Anyways, I'm going back to Panther 7b68. I can't get enough of Exposé!

Andy
