Hallo, just got this strange problem, in my usr folder on 10.2 is folder called pdflibtmp, which contains aroud 40.000 files 3.5GB in size, dont know what it is, can anyone help?
my g4 is slow and trashing all this stuff is like a pain in the ass.

is it possible to trash this folder fg. every hour? 10 mins? please, Im not familiar w terminal or applescript.

why not find out what you are using which is creating the folder in the first place. this is not normal behaviour, what apps are you using - looks like something to do with pdfs i would hazard since the name of the folder suggests this. figure out if you can stop the app making the folder in its preferences or if not just get rid of the app.

thanx, im using just Sigma Station 8.0 from heildelbeg, which is imposing sw, and yes it is working w pdfs, but there are no prefs to turn this off or delete this.. thanx

You could write a small shell or perl script to delete the files and put it in a cron job. However, I assume that the software needs some of those files, so you'll have to be careful about not deleting the needed ones.

A telephone call to tech support at Heidelberg might help as well, wouldn't it?

thanx, but anyone knows how to write this script? im not familiar with terminal stuff, also will try to call heidelberg support

When you've called Heidelberg and they have no solution, ask again, and I or someone else will write the script for you.
