Is there any way to hide or turn off the network directory that lies above the root partition
that icon has no function and i would like to replace it with a folder i keep full of shortcuts to all the servers i connect to regularly

so is there a workaround or utility to hide that network directory?
and is there a utility to make one of my own folders apear above the root partition?
