A few weeks ago the time vanished from the toolbar on my desktop. Then my Norton Antivirus icon vanished. When I go into the Time and Date Pref pane I check off the box to have it show in the toolbar but it does not "stick". When I go back it is unchecked. I already tried repairing permissions, deleted some pref files, ran Disk Warrior but nothing will fix this... I also upgraded to 10.2.8 and still the problem exsists.

Has anyone else had this problem? What else can I try short of an archive and install?

Delete Norton AV and any other Norton products from your computer. They only cause problems.
