Does anyone know how to force change the order of contextual menus?

I want to move "open with" to the bottom of the list because whenever I mouse over this my G5 grinds to a halt for several seconds while the finder searches for programs to open a specific item. Not a problem with weird file types, but with jpegs or text files it takes forever and is annoying.

I feel your pain, albeit somewhat less with Panther. It seems that no matter how much memory you have with Jag, this function is the bane of my right click existence of a file.
Paring down of the apps in your Application folder will help, as well as your external drives not being spun down.

try right clicking on a PC. its just as slow at times, and even worse when you want to select the "new..." option.
