SO, I have a LAN at home and I want to know how to have my iMac (where I keep all my stuff) wake up when I have OSX look for local computers. The energy saver CP shows that it will "wake for administrator ethernet access", but only on my ibook. So, is there anything I can install or do so that I don't have to stomp into my bedroom all the time? Thanks.

All as artificial as the Matrix itself, although only a human mind could invent something as insipid as Love.

try a search at versiontracker.com I was just looking at some of the apps that came up when I searched for 'network' and I think I remember seeing one that may help you.
