Just got myself an adsl connection which came with a D-Link ethernet adsl modem. Now, I was expecting to install drivers and such like to get it working, nope, nothing, juts plugged it in, set up my PPPoE account details, and away I went. Conversely, I need to set it up for my XP laptop, I had a read of the manual, which only has instructions for Windows, and guess what? I need to install drivers, setup all sorts of stuff just to get it working. Nice one Apple.

You don't really need drivers for PC. If it's Ethernet just setup a PPPoE connection and it should work. Those "drivers" are probably some extras that companies want you to install but you don't really need it. Or better yeat, get a router and have them both pluged in at the same time.
