How do you zap the PRAM? My comp isn't recognizing my drives. I'm currently running my iBook in as a firewire hard drive into my PMac 867.

I pressed the little brown button by the battery cuz it wasn't booting, all down hill since then. Just another problem. I don't wanna reinstall, it's my last resort.

Do you think Norton Sys Utilites would help?

I think you restart holding down P and R. I'm not sure about that, though.

Command-Option-P-R on startup.

Or, to clear all of the NVRAM instead of just the PRAM, you can boot into Open Firmware (Command-Option-O-F at startup) and type this:

reset-nvram
reset-all

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
