I am waiting, very impatiently, for Apple to offer a voucher or something for Panther so that I can buy a powerbook. I am ready to place an order right now, but, Im not going to get screwed over by Apple releasing a new operating system, and then having to buy it new a week from the day I receive my computer.

Jeez Apple, I know you have to make money off of everything, but you know, those of us spending our cash for your products dont like to be reamed on a consistent basis. Just offer the damned voucher already.

Anyone have any details on this? No one knows when they are going to release Panther, and frankly I dont care, as long as I get a voucher for it.

Um, sorry for the partial rant.

I know what you mean. I can't stand waiting anymore. I already crapped myself with anticipation! So now I'm sitting here... Smelly, Pantherless, and alone...

Anyone have any update on this?

I know I could survive with Jaguar. But seeing as how Panther is supposed to be the best OSX release ever (quoting macosrumors.com), I would like to have it.

I swung by the apple store in soho, as usual, the apple folk in there have no idea with the fook is going on.

But I did play around with the G5 (dual 2), changing my mind slowly from powerbook to G5...
