some of the programs that i download will pop up the flashy thing to make it look like they are opening but then they never do... i was wondering if any of you also had this problem or if there was a way around it. I can't even install my printer because the driver software wont load up on the screen to install it. Thanks ahead of time.

UTFS*!

* Use the fscking Search. The Stuffit 8 issue is very well known and documented.

Even though that i searched i still seem not to find anything. For this being so well documented i can't find any documentation. I would appreciate a link or something to the documentation. Thanks.

There are several threads about the issue in the Software forum and in the StuffIt support fora.
Programs unstuffed with StuffIt 8 do not run.
You either need to apply the StuffIt 8.0.1 Patch or revert to 7.
