Hi,

I sometimes take my external firewire drive offline by ejecting it, is there a way of re-mounting it without having to reboot, or re-login?

Thanks

Unplug it and plug it back in (the FW cable, that is). Wait a few seconds between unplugging and re-plugging the cable.

I'm sure there is another way just going to some drvie utitlity app and telling it to search the buses, maybe someone that knows applescript can contribute a short script to place in the dock that remounts everything.

Now that's an idea. I'm going to have a read through of the man pages for mount in the terminal, see what I can find out.

Thanks.
