Hey there,
I have a B&W G3/400MHz which I've been using OS X with for a year plus (most recent was 10.2.6). The other day I realized I had "extent file" problems that couldn't be fixed by Norton Utilities 8.0 (possibly because I hadn't run it in over a year). In any case, I copied my files to another drive and decided to re-install OS X 10.2 on the drive... I kept getting re-start freezes (white screen, grey apple logo, spinning progress wheel, and bar-code-like snow).
Being that I thought the drive was just ruined (and causing this) I went today to get another drive... but it continues to occur! Similar to this:
OS X Install problem - Freezing
I just don't get it... I was running fine for over a year plus with OS X on this machine. I might also add I have 2 other drives in there which are connected to a Sonnet Tempo ATA/100 (which never caused problems before).
I never thought I'd post something with an "!" in it - but please, help a brother out.
Thanks,
BD
