This morning I opened my System Preferences in Panther and I noted under the "Other" heading, there is a preference pane called "Hardware". This is the first time I have ever seen it. The last time I opened the Preferences is yesterday afternoon. Since then I have installed XCode for Mac OS X 10.3 (GM) and Salling Clicker 2.0.1, can anyone verify that this preference pane comes from either of those? Here is a picture.

Most likely Xcode. Salling Clicker only installs its own pref pane.

Yeah, it's xcode, developer tools on Jaguar does that too, can't remember the program for the dev tools which does it though.
Rockstar Games - better than reality.

It's part of the CHUD suite, installed in /Developer/Applications/Performance Tools/CHUD (at least in Jaguar).

Thank you, I did install the optional CHUD tools on the disk, by default they are turned off, but I enabled them for some of the work I am doing. Appreciate the quick response.

It turns off the energy saving techniques used in the processor itself.

It is not recommended, your notebook can become really really hot in very short time

Yes they do (I can guarantee), but without nap mode, it is worse, so beware.

See the old house was just that...old...it needed about $5K worth of Electrical work and about 4K worth of plumbing. In the end, the new house is better, because it's brand new, has a ton of amenities, and costs about 75% of the value of the old house. (And the new house doesn't have any metal in the walls so an airport signal travels throughout the house. The old house had a ton of curved walls that they used sheet metal to form.)
